Training

We assess each student’s product and file control and determine if you can be moved to the next level.

If you have attained accurate product control you will move on to two colour applications if you’re standard of work is poor we will keep practicing one colour applications. By keeping you within your own comfort zone will allow you to progress further without you having to worry about perfecting a skill for which you will not feel confident.

Students are to return for rebalance and maintenance class with a model whom they have applied a full set of nail enhancements to at least 10-14 days previously, at the end of your training there is an exam to determine how much you have taken in however you are under continuous assessment thoughtout your training question and answer sessions will be constantly ongoing during training.

At the end of the class if we feel you require more work we will advise you.

Some dates and times may vary depending on circumstances out with our control. We will do our best to inform you of these. If you need to rearrange any course dates or times, we will try to accommodate. However if you cancel a class your deposit of £100.00 will be lost. If you should need to cancel any part of your course at last minute or failure to attend you will incur a further £100 charge to join the next available date.

Courses do not have a guaranteed pass this is up to you and how much work you put in. When you pass our course you will achieve a certificate as a qualified nail technician; however it does not guarantee that you will get employment within the nail industry again this depends on your skill level. Please remember to seek insurance before practicing on the public.

To achieve a pass you must complete to a satisfactory level of requirement in each unit of your training, if you do not meet this standard you will be given the option to resit or attend more training. You will be awarded the units you do pass.

Training Levels

Once you have reached a high level of confidence and skill you can achieve your masters in any field. If you complete 4 of the above at master’s level including design acrylic then you can sit your master’s exam to become a master artist technician.

Foundation Acrylic, Gel, Fibre & Silk

Designed for the beginner or very novice nail techs. We will teach you basic skill which you can develop at your own pace. On completion of this course you will receive a Universal Nail Academy certificate. You will be fully qualified to practice as a nail Technician whether you to choose to work in a salon or just for fun.  Should you then decide on a product line to work with you will only be required to complete a conversion class to perfect the knowledge of that brand, but these classes do not teach you nail skills. Nail trainers are available if you wish to rent or buy for use on the course. These can be ordered when booking and added to the cost of the course on request.

Course Covers :

Conversion Course

This course is designed for the experienced nail technician looking to change from one system to another i.e. gel + acrylic. On completion of this course you will receive a Universal Nail academy certificate. Course duration 1 day.

Acrylic Design Classes

This course is designed for experienced nail technicians. This course may be taken at any stage of learning. This day is great fun and a great way to build confidence and develop your skills. It will help introduce you and your clients into a new world of nail enhancements.

Day 1 - We will cover

Workshops & Trouble Shooting

These classes are for nail technicians who need extra help or problem solving. (Practical, theory, retail etc). This session will be structured to cover your specific needs and problem areas. On completion of this course you will receive a Universal Nail Academy certificate.

Advanced Training

This is great preparation for master’s level and further training to advance your techniques in any area including nail biters and problem nails. On completion of this course you will receive a Universal Nail Academy certificate. In this course you tell us what you need to perfect your skills.

Manicure & Pedicure Spa Classes

Manicure and pedicure are two of the most popular treatments and can help increase your revenue as a nail technician and beauty therapist. (You do not need to be nail technician or beauty therapist to take this course) Manicure and Pedicure can be treated as an individual treatment or incorporated with your nail enhancement service to help bulk up your profits and keep your clients coming back for more. On completion of this course you will receive a Universal Nail Academy certificate. You will be fully qualified to practice manicure & pedicure whether you choose to work in a salon or just for fun. Your qualification is fully recognised within the beauty industry.

We will cover product knowledge, aromatherapy, introduction natural nail and skin anatomy skin and  nail diseases and disorders, health and safety before moving onto practical spa manicures and pedicure rituals and massage techniques. Model will be required.

Masters

This is a course to bring experienced nail technicians to the peak of learning and give the optimum quality in their career also brings you one step closer to becoming an educator yourself. This will involve completing the 5 stages of the master artist certificate which includes acrylic nail enhancement application, fibre glass and silk application, natural nail gel and design acrylic. It is achieved over 5 days and a model will be required. This course is followed with a practical and theory assessment. On completion you will become a master artist technician the highest level other than educator.

Some technicians may not wish to sit their full masters and only wish to complete one part of training to masters level this can be arranged for your chosen field over one day. Products are not supplied.
